Venue Development & Operational Planning - South America

The Problem

Shortage of available hotels and other appropriate infrastructure for 400+ employees in extreme weather conditions.

The Strategy

To develop a concept design for temporary accommodation incorporating:

• Modular housing
• Modular kitchen and dining facilities
• 24/7 housing facility support
• Transportation, to and from housing site and designated event sites

The Solution

Incognitus provided housing to 400+ Client employees. Acquiring the use of a local RV park that provided utility connections (electric, sanitation, water, and wireless internet). Using converted modular office structures for bunk rooms provided cost-effective and safe structures, recreational space with internet café quiet space, Projection TV with DVD and satellite TV programming, and onsite administrative offices. Modular Kitchen and dining units provided outstanding food and beverage facilities.

Modular washrooms and laundry units provided convenient and clean facilities for employees. Onsite 24/7 facility support providing immediate attention to detail and facility problems. The use of 15 passenger vans for efficient transportation planning. Transportation to and from designated drop off areas provided access to work locations and local community services, shopping, restaurants and night time entertainment.

Incognitus worked within the timeline and budget of the Client to provide the best possible solution for economical and affordable housing, catering and food service, transportation, and logistics. Providing support and information knowledge to address Client concerns and continued flexibility in the overall Olympic programming. Incognitus committed to running the camp operationally throughout the event period to ensure what we designed and constructed actually exceeded Client expectations.
